During this hackathon, we’ll explore hands-on ways to use AI to improve how we offer mental health support – especially for young people.
Mental health challenges among children and youth are on the rise, while healthcare systems around the world are struggling to meet the demand. In this gap, AI has the potential to make a real difference. AI-powered support tools can be scaled quickly, are available around the clock, and may offer a first step for those who might not otherwise reach out for help.
This isn’t about replacing humans – it’s about complementing them. The combination of human insight and technical capability can be incredibly powerful. That’s why we’re excited to explore both fully automated solutions and hybrid models where AI and people work hand in hand.
United for youth mental health
Forefront, the Tim Bergling Foundation and Google Cloud are joining forces in a unique collaboration to support youth mental health through the power of technology. Together, we’re hosting a hackathon focused on developing digital solutions that can help prevent mental illness.
We’ll explore how AI can provide empathetic and responsible support to young people – for example, as a conversation partner in games, apps or school platforms. We're looking for creative solutions that combine ethics, technology and genuine care. Together with the Tim Bergling Foundation, Forefront and Google Cloud – you’ll be part of something that truly matters.
